While Samuel Beckett is known primarily as a dramatist, he began as a writer of prose and continued writing prose thoughout his life. In an intense period of creativity in the late 1940's he wrote three novels, Molloy, Malone Dies and The Unnamable.

The readings have been selected to highlight the trilogy's themes, tone and style and will be introduced and commented upon by Brian Duffy, a specialist in Beckett's work.

Playwright, author and actor, John McArdle, will read extracts from all three novels, considered by many to represent Beckett's greatest work.
